◊ About me ◊

Gonzalo Silva Corcelet

Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay. My curiosity knows no bounds, driving me to explore diverse areas of design and working across disciplines.

As a designer, I thrive on the creative journey, overseeing projects from conception to fruition. My passion for design is intricately woven with my love for travel and exploration. Having traveled through over 25 countries, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in diverse cultures, each leaving an indelible mark on my creative journey.
Throughout my travels, I've found myself drawn to the intersection of fashion and music within the editorial world. The power of storytelling through visual mediums resonates deeply with me, fueling my creative endeavors and inspiring me to push boundaries in my work. My experiences abroad have not only broadened my horizons but have also deepened my appreciation for the universal language of design.

I typically draw from my personal experience to communicate what I am feeling. This translates into me being very attracted to topics of self-esteem, self-love and self-acceptance.

Looking ahead, I am eager to continue my exploration of new cultures and design landscapes, seeking fresh sources of inspiration to infuse into my work. I am committed to constantly pushing my own boundaries.
Why Corcelet?
The surname holds significant personal meaning for me, as it represents a familial legacy that I am tasked with preserving. With my grandfather being the last male Corcelet alive, the responsibility to carry on the name falls upon me and my family.

With the aim of finding freedom from judgment or fear, I have adopted the Corcelet name as my artistic persona. This serves as a sanctuary where I can explore and express myself without inhibition. Despite only recently discovering its significance, the Corcelet name has become synonymous with a space of creativity and authenticity for me.

The logo is a refined lettering design crafted from my grandfather's signature found on my mother's birth certificate.
